Parent Pulse for Android

Parent Pulse is an Android app for parents whose school district uses ParentVUE. It checks the gradebook about once an hour and sends one notification when something changed.

What it shows

Every class with its grade, what is missing, what is due soon, and which assignments moved a grade up or down.

The Classes list: each class with its grade and letter.

One class page: its assignments and what changed.

Privacy

  • Your ParentVUE password stays on your phone.
  • There is no server between the app and ParentVUE. The app talks to your district directly.
  • This site keeps only the email address of people who tick the box for new-version emails, in our email provider. Without the box ticked, it keeps nothing.

Getting it, and updates

Parent Pulse is not on the Play Store. You install it from a link we email you. Small fixes arrive on their own. A new version that needs installing by hand comes as a new link, which we email to people who ticked the box.

  1. Open the link in the email on your Android phone and download the app.
  2. Open the downloaded file. If Android asks, allow your browser to install apps.
  3. Open Parent Pulse and sign in with your ParentVUE username and password.

Which districts work

Districts where you sign in to ParentVUE with a username and password. Districts that only allow single sign-on (for example Google or Microsoft) are not supported.

Support this app

Parent Pulse is free and has no ads. If it helps your family and you'd like to support the work, you can send a tip on Venmo. It's entirely optional.

Parent Pulse is an independent app. It is not made by or affiliated with Edupoint or any school district.
